Your Feedback Drives What We Build
Stroke Gained is not built in a vacuum. Every major feature on our roadmap started as a suggestion, bug report, or conversation with a golfer or coach who uses the platform. The strokes gained breakdown by distance bucket? That came from a beta tester who wanted to know exactly where his approach shots were costing him. The coach dashboard drill assignment feature? A PGA instructor asked for it after his third lesson using the app.
We review every piece of feedback within 48 hours. If your idea aligns with our roadmap, we add it to the backlog and you will see it appear on our public roadmap. If we need more context, we will reach out directly (which is why including your email is helpful, even though it is optional).
Bug reports get the highest priority. If something is broken, we want to know about it before it affects more golfers. We typically acknowledge bugs within 24 hours and ship fixes within the same week for critical issues.
What Makes Great Feedback
Be specific about what you experienced
Instead of 'the app is slow,' try 'the swing analysis takes 30+ seconds to load after I record a video on my iPhone 14.' The more context you give us, the faster we can reproduce and fix the issue.
Describe the problem, not just the solution
Tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way. Sometimes the best fix is different from what you might expect, and understanding your goal helps us build the right thing.
Screenshots and videos help enormously
If you can capture what you are seeing, it saves hours of back-and-forth. Screen recordings are especially helpful for bugs that involve timing or animations.
Include your device and OS version
Many issues are device-specific. Knowing whether you are on iOS 18, Android 14, or a desktop browser helps us narrow down the cause quickly.
How Quickly We Respond
Bug reports are acknowledged within 24 hours. Feature requests and improvement suggestions are reviewed within 48 hours. If you include your email, we will follow up directly when your request ships or if we need clarification. You can also track the status of popular requests on our public roadmap.
